Jackson Township
The Board of Supervisors of Jackson Township, Butler
County, Pennsylvania will hold a public hearing at its
regular monthly meeting on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at
7:00 p.m. at the Jackson Township Municipal Building, 140
Magill Road, Zelienople, PA 16063, for consideration of
the proposed, tentative Planned Residential Development (PRD)
application filed by Tollgate Associates, LLC on a vacant
64 acre parcel on Tollgate School Road, Tax Parcel No.
180-4F103-3 (address not assigned). The application plan
name is entitled "The Villas of Dutch Creek" consisting of
160 townhouses and :Old Hickory Highlands" consisting of
63 single family detached homes. Currently, zoned in
the Residential Medium Density District (RM). Action
may be taken on the application during the regular
meeting.
The application is on file and available for public view
at the Township Municipal Building located at the above
address on Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30
p.m.
The Jackson Township Board of
Supervisors has resolved to consider the adoption of a
proposed ordinance amending Chapter 27 of the Jackson
Township Code of Ordinances, Zoning, as amended, to:
remove height restrictions in the zoning districts and
planned residential development regulations; permit
retail sales and service establishment as a permitted
use in the MCO Mixed Commerce/Office District regardless
of size; and remove the requirement for permits for an
accessory structure under 1,000 square feet. The
Jackson Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public
hearing on the proposed ordinance during the Board’s
regular meeting on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
at the Township Municipal Building, 140 Magill Road,
Zelienople, PA 16063, at which time the public may
comment upon the proposed ordinance. The proposed
ordinance is intended to be pending and in effect as of
the date of publication of this Notice.

In 2008, the
Pennsylvania Legislature passed the Home Improvement
Consumer Protection Act. The law requires that all
contractors who perform at least $5,000 worth of home
improvements per year register with the Attorney General's
