3 Things To Get Your Day Started Fresh!

Getting through the morning isn’t the easiest thing to do, but that’s okay. It isn’t supposed to be easy, because our bodies are coming out of a slumber that feels fantastic (and it’s always going to feel fantastic). I love a few different tricks or rituals to make use of every now and then, and when it comes to waking up in the morning, there’s one ritual that I never fail to make use of. When you start to make use of espresso, you’re going to feel a surge of energy that you’ve never felt before. This isn’t the only way to go about feeling a lot more alert in the morning, and we’re going to cover the entire “espresso ordeal” a little bit later. Like I said before, waking up can be a very big problem for some people. When you’re not feeling very energetic in the morning, it can lead to:

  • Grumpy days that result in a couple of co-workers getting chewed out
  • Forgetting to properly pack your lunch, meaning you’re going to starve the entire day
  • Locking your keys in the car – don’t you just hate it when that happens?
  • Falling asleep in the office (especially at the desk, since it’s never felt this comfy before)
  • Many, many other problems that have to do with your low energy levels

Do you understand what I’m getting at now? Things aren’t always “sheeptits and gravy” when you roll out of bed, sometimes you look like Frankenstein’s monster and you’re not really sure which way is up or down. We’re going to look at a few different ways to go about waking up in the morning, but you know, like actually waking up. It’s one thing to throw the covers off and opens your eyes up, but it’s an entirely different situation when you’ve got a hard day of work ahead of you. Take these tips into account the next time you aren’t feeling up to par for what’s planned ahead, you never know what may end up working for you!

Espresso

It’s actually a way to maximize the amount of caffeine you’re taking in, but it’s great for when you need a large boost of energy. There are a lot of different models to pick from, all of which vary when it comes to sizing and price (as well as an abundance of other things, like features). It’s almost like shopping for a brand new car, except not at all!

Yoga

YogaYoga is said to improve upon the amount of energy flowing through your body at a certain period of time, so if you want to focus your flow on the morning portion of your day, go for it. There’s no shame in having the ability to strike an incredibly difficult pose, I actually know an abundance of people who would love to have that skill (me being one of them). Yoga is harder for people who are just getting into it, but you have to be patience. If you’re persistent enough, you’ll be able to do a few of the poses eventually. After that, you’ll be calling yourself a yoga master in no time. You’ll notice the difference in morning energy levels as well, even if you’re just a novice.

Breakfast

BreakfastThat’s right, you and I both know that breakfast isn’t always mandatory. When you’re running late for work, sometimes a granola bar or something light is going to have to suffice. This is a problem for many people, and it’s why you need to wake up a bit earlier to prepare breakfast. Making sure that you fall asleep at a reasonable time is one of the biggest things when it comes to having energy in the morning, you can’t expect to feel energizes if you’re heading to bed at 2 AM every single night. Go to bed early, wake up early and make yourself breakfast. I’ve done this personally and noticed a major difference, so you can too! Take it from someone who use to slug around every single morning, breakfast is the real deal.
