Jackson Township, a second-class township, is governed by three elected Supervisors each serving a six year term. A number of appointed Boards and Commissions assist in the delivery of municipal services. Your active participation is encouraged. |

Road Department
We take pride in the appearance and maintenance of our roads, township equipment and buildings. The department maintains in excess of 40 miles of township roads. Click here to view a street map of the township. In regards to snow removal, the main bus routes are maintained first, with secondary roads following. The Township is not responsible for maintenance or snow removal on private roadways. Manager
The Manager is appointed by the Supervisors every year. Under the Supervisors' direction, the Manager manages the daily functions of the township government as well as the township funds.
Police
Department
The Police Department provides 24-hour coverage and consists of both full-time and part-time officers. In additional to providing police coverage to the community, the Department also deploys a School Resource Officer and a second police officer to the Seneca Valley High School campus on a full-time basis, during the school year. Sewage
Authority
Western Butler County Authority services certain areas of the township. Contact WBCA for service information. For non-serviced areas of on-lot systems, you must come into the township office and complete the Application for On-Lot Sewage Disposal System Permit and pay all applicable fees. Please refer to the on-line Site Evaluation/Application to obtain helpful information on determining an appropriate site for your septic system. Emergency Services
Jackson Township is services by a group of volunteers for Emergency Management. EMA is activated anytime a situation in the Township requires additional emergency personnel.
Zoning Board Jackson Township is a zoned
community. Zoning means the Township is divided into various zoning
districts. The official zoning map is on display at the Township
office. Copies of the zoning and land use subdivision ordinances are
available for review at the Township office and on-line. Planning Commission
Planning Commission members are appointed by the Supervisors. The Planning Commission is responsible for reviewing plans for subdivision and land development within the Township. |
